A small time hood gets into the counterfeiting business, with surprising results. Love makes the world go round so they say but it also causes a lot of trouble. Take for instance the case of Eddie Ford and Ruth Spreight, they were in love and had been for a long time, childhood sweethearts the kind of thing that usually brings nothing but happiness and good fortune. But Eddie and Ruthie were born on the wrong side of town. They grew up on Second Avenue and that’s not exactly the best environment. Eddies love for Ruth began to show itself in the wrong way. At 7 he stole an apple for her, at 14 he stole a car to take her for a ride, at 17 he’d spent his first night in jail and at 22 he is established as a small crook in town…
